Vision Becoming Reality | Antioch Community Ministries (R1)

Writer's picture: Ryan DavidsonRyan Davidson

The vision of Antioch Community Ministries is becoming a reality. The construction of the building is well on the way, and there is excitement and commitment to making Antioch Church and Skatepark facility accessible to the community in Warman Saskatchewan.

On December 15, 2024 a fundraising evening was hosted in the partially completed facility. What a blessed evening! A group of ladies made delicious desserts that were served with coffee and hot chocolate. Volunteers decorated and created a makeshift stage where a super group of local worship leaders came together to perform 4 worship songs and 4 Christmas songs. They even included a rendition of Paul McCartney’s Wonderful Christmas Time. About 130 were in attendance raising approximately $15,000.

Ryan Davidson gave a talk to end the evening, speaking on the miraculous nature of the space and how unlikely it all seemed a few years ago. The response to the evening, music, and space was powerful. Several people in attendance remarked on how they felt God in that space. Praise the Lord for his presence and provision.

They anticipate to hold Sunday worship times in the facility in early March.

Antioch is more than just a skatepark and youth drop-in; it is a refuge for The Sask Valley Area. A vibrant space dedicated to communicating Christ with people who have fallen away or simply do not like church. With prayer, patience, and presence we use everyday interactions and interests to serve and encourage those who come through our doors.

This facility will house a church plant, an indoor skatepark, youth drop-in. Lessons, contests, homework help, video games, billiards, concerts, birthday parties, Sunday services, and more are all part of the plan. To increase Antioch’s accessibility, admission to the indoor skatepark will be kept to a minimum. therefore seeking to raise as much as possible to offset our mortgage.
