Preparing for Summer Ministry (Camp Cedarwood/Youth for Christ)

WINNIPEG, MANITOBA – This fall has been a learning experience and adjustment for our family as Eli started kindergarten! He is attending a Christian school located quite a distance from our house. We have been learning how to appreciate our time in the car. He is enjoying his new environment and friends, and we are thankful for the school and community we are finding there.

It has been a joy to see the Cedarwood follow-up ministry resume. Monthly events are now taking place, allowing staff to reconnect with campers and continue the discipleship that began over the summer. We are also excited to announce that planning has begun for a winter retreat, our first in several years.

I (Jenna) continue to serve as the Administrative Director for Camp Cedarwood. My hope for the future is to move out of working solely for Cedarwood and into a role for YFC. What this role will be is still unknown, as we pray through what would be a good fit for my gifts, and it will be some time before this happens. I do plan to slowly work towards completing my BA at Steinbach Bible College which may help direct this process.

Please pray for Cedarwood and YFC as we conclude another year of ministry and look ahead to 2025. Pray that God prepares those He is calling to serve at Cedarwood in 2025 and works in the hearts of the campers who will register to hear the Gospel. Please also pray for our family as we navigate the early years with our children and all the challenges that come with it. This fall has been exhausting, so we ask for prayers for energy and strength from God as we continue.
