Steinbach Bible College were so excited to be able to host two successful summer events with the 11th annual Golf Tournaments on August 3 and August 10.
Smiles and laughs could be seen all over the course across both days full of sunshine. These tournaments would not be possible without the steadfast support of our sponsors and golfers, and the tremendous effort by all of the volunteers to help make these events both fun-filled days.
“Golf can be a humbling game, but it pales in comparison to how I am humbled by the amazing support and generosity displayed by those who continue to stand behind SBC and sponsor these two events” SBC President Rob Reimer said.
The Steinbach-area tournament was held at Quarry Oaks Golf Course, and the attendance was sold out for the second consecutive year. Players were able to enjoy an 18-hole round, a whole slew of food and treats out on the course, and the traditional steak meal for lunch provided by SBC Chef Gil Drolet.
A week later, the Pembina Valley received some much-needed rain in the middle of a drought the previous day, but gave SBC and all of the golfers a beautiful sunny day at the Minnewasta Golf and Country Club in Morden on August 10. It was the largest turn-out of players since the second golf tournament was added in 2017.
Through these golf tournaments, SBC raised at total of $98,630! These funds will go towards supporting students and Christian higher education at the college.
“Thank you to the 251 golfers who joined us for this year’s tournaments” added Reimer.
Thank you to Quarry Oaks and Minnewasta for their hospitality in allowing us to host the golf tournaments.
