Changing Name in Bolivia (MEM)

Projects move along quite quickly in Bolivia. Our MEM team are visionaries and are excited about moving forward with the opportunities God brings before them.

In fall 2023 EMMC shared information about the opportunities in Belice Colony and the plan to start an outreach in that area. Then because Belice Colony is located in the Tres Cruces district, we started referring to it as Tres Cruces. When a more formal ministry with outreach began in that area, and a building was on site, that ministry formally became Amanecer.

On January 21, 2024 the group at Amanecer celebrated the start of this new ministry. Amanecer is the Spanish word for ‘sunrise’ – a new beginning of the day and a new beginning for individuals. They celebrated with music, teaching and of course, food.

Today, we have missionaries Nancy Friesen and Ben & Bertha Kauenhofen living on site and we anticipate another building to accommodate the school and church.

We are celebrating this outreach endeavor, and pray that many will hear and respond to the message of the Gospel.
